Marjorie and I put forward that as humankind systematically removes or eliminates inequity and unfairness regarding the following twenty relationship barriers, humility and humanity will give rise to wellsprings of hope and happiness.
TWENTY RELATIONSHIP BARRIERS
- Race, Color, and Language Barriers
- World Economic and Trade Barriers
- Social and Economic Class Barriers
- Religious Communication Barriers
- Religious Denominational Barriers
- Educational Achievement Barriers
- Marriage Relationship Barriers
- Employment Equity Barriers
- Age and Disability Barriers
- Height and Weight Barriers
- Technological Barriers
- Generational Barriers
- Immigration Barriers
- Nationalism Barriers
- Patriotism Barriers
- Healthcare Barriers
- Interstate Barriers
- Cultural Barriers
- Voting Barriers
- Gender Barriers
These twenty relationship barriers have a definite influence on the way we relate to each other. They are complex, and if they are unmanaged, they can form an impenetrable barrier that suffocates human progress as the obstacles get more complicated for the ordinary person to navigate. When nations remove these barriers, they will rise to great heights of humanity, imbued with the capacity to navigate and mitigate many unresolved past challenges, present challenges, and emerging future challenges.
As an aggregate, these barriers (intentional or unintentional) create much of the human suffering and unhappiness people experience in daily life. They underpin the way we view the world (“worldview”) through various lenses such as religion, race, color, culture, economics, academia, politics, gender, and transgender.
